Obama the Messiah Effect

June 9, 2008

Jaw dropping quotes by and about Obama.

obama-poster-i-can-haz-ur-soul.jpg

“My job this morning is to be so persuasive . . . that a light will shine through that window, a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany, and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote for Barack.”

~ Barack Obama Dartmouth College January 7, 2008

The Village Voice

When Morgan Freeman comes over to greet Obama, the senator begins bowing down both hands in worship. “This guy was president before I was,” says Obama, referring to Freeman’s turn in Deep Impact and, clearly, getting a little ahead of his own bio. Next, a nod to Bruce Almighty: “This guy was God before I was.” (Okay, more than a little ahead.) But Freeman is eating it up. Leaning in, he tells the senator to win it. “I will,” Obama replies. “That’s why I’m running.”

We have lost the understanding that in a democracy, we have a mutual obligation to one another — that we cannot measure the greatness of our society by the strongest and richest of us, but we have to measure our greatness by the least of these. That we have to compromise and sacrifice for one another in order to get things done. That is why I am here, because Barack Obama is the only person in this who understands that. That before we can work on the problems, we have to fix our souls. Our souls are broken in this nation.

The journey will be difficult. The road will be long. I face this challenge with profound humility, and knowledge of my own limitations. But I also face it with limitless faith in the capacity of the American people. Because if we are willing to work for it, and fight for it, and believe in it, then I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on Earth. This was the moment – this was the time – when we came together to remake this great nation so that it may always reflect our very best selves, and our highest ideals. Thank you, God Bless you, and may God Bless the United States of America.

Is Barack Obama the Messiah

sav.jpg

“I cried all night. I’m going to be crying for the next four years,” he said. “What Barack Obama has accomplished is the single most extraordinary event that has occurred in the 232 years of the nation’s political history. … The event itself is so extraordinary that another chapter could be added to the Bible to chronicle its significance.”

~ Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.)

Oh, he’s not fully enlightened, being that enlightenment is a process, not an event. But for reasons I can’t fully articulate, he is one of those individuals who communicates God-like energy (metaphorically speaking), in whom you can “feel” God.

…So, Geraldine [Ferraro], I’m taking a special look at Barack Obama because he’s a lot closer to a Jesus-type than the other candidates, by quite a bit. What if God decided to incarnate as men preaching “hope and change.” And what if we didn’t recognize them, because we are so dull, and let them slip away, not availing ourselves of the opportunity to be led by God! Lord knows we’ve elected the anti-Christ often enough. Excuse me, George.

So you can imagine why even a white male like myself would be interested in a candidate “talking” the way Barack is talking. For those of you who are confused, what Barack is saying is in line with what God him/her/itself would say.

~ STEVE DAVIS Charleston March 31, 2008 JG-TC Online

“I would characterize the Senate race as being a race where Obama was, let’s say, blessed and highly favored. That’s not routine. There’s something else going on. I think that Obama, his election to the Senate, was divinely ordered. . . . I know that that was God’s plan.”

~ Bill Rush

New York Times September 9, 2007

. . Obama’s finest speeches do not excite. They do not inform. They don’t even really inspire. They elevate. They enmesh you in a grander moment, as if history has stopped flowing passively by, and, just for an instant, contracted around you, made you aware of its presence, and your role in it. He is not the Word made flesh, but the triumph of word over flesh, over color, over despair. The other great leaders I’ve heard guide us towards a better politics, but Obama is, at his best, able to call us back to our highest selves, to the place where America exists as a glittering ideal, and where we, its honored inhabitants, seem capable of achieving it, and thus of sharing in its meaning and transcendence. . . .

Post inspired by the following article of which I quote.
‘Magic,’ ‘Lightbringer’, ‘Messiah’ — Not New Terms To Obama – The Campaign Spot

Exit question, as the guys at Hot Air (and The McLaughlin Group) say — if Obama or his campaign wanted the messiah/savior talk to end, could they stop it? Would they? Are they more or less okay with supporters describing their candidate in quasi-religious terms — recall the volunteers being instructed to tell voters how they “came to” Obama, much the way some Christians describe their “coming to Jesus” moment — and what does that tell us about the candidate, his team, his followers (believers?) and how they see themselves?

I’ll let Thomas Sowell sum it up…

obama-dream-halo-poster.jpg

Barack Obama says that he wants to “heal America and repair the world.” One wonders what he will do for an encore and whether he will rest on the seventh day.

“Dangerous demagoguery” Thomas Sowell

Indeed…

Special thanks to “Is Barack Obama the Messiah?” for documenting on the Obama messiah phenomenon.

    Velvet,
I wrote an article on this too at Avid’s site. It is scary. It’s out of Prophecies of False Prophets. This Obama movement is a religious cult. At Best he’s a False Prophet and at worst, he’s a False Messiah. It’s really some weird stuff Obama’s rise.

Is Obama the Messiah? is a great site. I absolutely love their Personal Jesus video.

I find Obama’s cult of personality far more disturbing than Obama.

“Here’s where it gets gooey. Many spiritually advanced people I know (not coweringly religious, mind you, but deeply spiritual) identify Obama as a Lightworker, that rare kind of attuned being who has the ability to lead us not merely to new foreign policies or health care plans or whatnot, but who can actually help usher in a new way of being on the planet, of relating and connecting and engaging with this bizarre earthly experiment. These kinds of people actually help us evolve. They are philosophers and peacemakers of a very high order, and they speak not just to reason or emotion, but to the soul. ”

    Hey Mike (F the troops)

I removed your Obama for Overlord link. Once is enough. Kapish?

I plan to renounce my American citizenship in protest of what has become an American Empire, a nation that I see riding an express train to police state dictatorship with flags flying, anthems blaring and deluded, complicit masses cheering it along the track. Hopefully, others will be motivated to do the same by my example, though I recognize inertia as the most powerful force in human affairs.

    CYA! & Good riddance.

I wouldn’t mind an American Empire. There would be no more Illegal problem from Mexico since Mexico would be American territory! Plus there’s alot of real estate in Canada or how about a nice beachfront property in the Stae of Cuba!

Mike like all Leftists doesn’t know what an Empire is.

I just hope that people wake up out of their hypnotic trances in time. This all sounds amazingly familiar from a “New Age” perspective. It has Blavantsky (sp?) written all over it.

    Signs of the Obamessiah

Obama preached to the multitude by the side of the lake.

Obama triumphed over the beast, the enemy of all men.

Obama will reign over us from a house with many rooms.

Obama will raise voters from the dead.

Hillary got voted out by the so-called Democratic Party. It’s somehow a blessing in disguise. It is not the Democratic Party of JFK anymore, anyway.

Communist and Socialist groups now have invaded America. The connections of these groups are tricky because they are based on the “Fusion Theory” of Michael Harrington of New Party, a Chicago based party of Obama in 1996 who gave him his first election win. That’s why Obama is returning to his own roots.

Communist Party of USA, Democratic Socialists of America, Progressive Movement, Progressive Alliance, ACLU, CODEPINK, the Working Families Party, AFL-CIO, ACORN, AAAN, MoveOn, RAINBOW/PUSH, Progressive Women, and so on. They are all Anti-War and champion of Civil Liberties. Many in these groups believe that Arabs and Blacks are the most deprived people in America. Obama partly helped the establishment of AAAN of Khalidi.

After the fall of Communism in 1991, the communists and socialists have reinvented themselves and they now become champions of Anti-War, anti-racism and pro-immigrants, freedom of religion (including no religion), pro-labor, pro-poor, pro-welfare state, and anti- US soldiers.

Many of these people were part of that Anti-War Movement led by UN NGOs in late 2001. They spread “half-truths” around the world, the gospel of pacifism, against Bush Administration. But, the collateral damage of such action is America as a whole. Treason but no one wanted to admit. Bush shall go Den Haag for war crimes… that’s their spirit. These people have succeeded so many ways. The new brand of communists have successfully gotten the sympathy of the people and made the people hate their own Government. They made the Nation believe that Americans lost its moral grounds.

After destroying the original principles of Democratic Party and put their own ideologies as cornerstone of this Party…. there is only step to complete the victory….Marginalize the Republican Party by winning 2008 Election by November. If unopposed, Obama’s win will declare victory of Communist Party and start of a new American Socialist Era.

Thanks to fate… Hillary is free now from these groups. She can start anew. She is a Senator and a fighter herself.

The fate of American Future now is in hands of unlikely group of people: Jews and Christians rejecting evil Lies of Obama, the Hillary die-hards and McCain removing barriers of party and stand as one. If they do not join together and consolidate, Communist America will be born.

This election is not about war or economy, as the Socialists are trying to make Americans believe, it is about the birth of new Socialist America.

I hope Hillary Fans call on Pres. Clinton and speak out on the truth about the Far Left. In 2006, despite Hillary’s win in NY, I feel uncomfortable on what can be seen from the former party of JFK, Franklin Roosevelt and Truman. It’s definitely not that party anymore.

When John McCain wins, I hope Hillary and Bill start rebuild the Democratic Party again based on its original principles. Cleanse the Party and reinstall its Patriotism.

The Republican Party needs Democratic Party of old. They’re like Yin and Yang. One needs another to strengthen America again. It’s too early for America to fall. There are still many battles for Freedom to win. Monroe Doctrine as expanded by JFK said it all why America has to rebuild new democratic culture in Middle East.

The beauty of the two old parties, despite their flaws, arguing but respecting each other… that is the missing ingredient why America is weak today.

Not the policy of Pacifism, Treason, Socialism and Control all embodied in the idealogy of a man I still do not know if Black or White.

But America built together by Democrats and Republicans alike. In that day, I will return to Democratic Party.
