Tyson Foods Replaces Labor Day With Muslim Holiday Eid al-Fitr [update:2 & bumped: Tyson Caves!]

August 8, 2008

A huge steaming bowl of wrong!

Texas Fred has the nitty gritty. In his post he includes links to Tyson’s product listing (for those who wish to boycott) and company contact info (for those who wish to give Tyson a piece of their mind).
Tyson drops Labor Day holiday for Eid al-Fitr

Workers at Tyson Foods’ poultry processing plant in Shelbyville will no longer have a paid day off on Labor Day, but will instead take the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr in the fall.

A recent press release from the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU) stated that a new contract at the Shelbyville facility “implements a new holiday to accommodate the … Muslim workers at the plant.” […]

The plant had already installed Muslim prayer rooms. This latest act of appeasement is another step in the wrong direction. Islamisation coming to a neighborhood near you.

Removing the Labor Day observance stinks, but to be fair to Tyson, more than half of the workforce at the Shelbyville plant are Muslim. According to The Tennessean most of those are Somali immigrants. The US government has sent many Somali and Kurdish refugees to the Nashville area.

Cave or not I will continue my personal boycott. I realize everything they make is not sold under the Tyson name but those products that are will never enter my home. Unless we vote with our bucks and show these pc dhimmis to fear us more than empty jihadi threats more and more businesses will continue to suck up. Support islam and you support everything I loath. I just can not find it in my heart to accept pedophilia, slavery and the forced ideology just because some clown calls it a religion.

Actually, only about 23% of the Shelbyville, TN Tyson employees are Muslim. They have about 1200 employees – with 200-250 Somalis. About 200 “other” employees are not members of the Union and would not have, or perhaps had a choice, not to participate.
