MataHarley at Flopping Aces has thoroughly dissected the supposed Palin Alaskan State Trooper scandal. Another day – another blogger doing the job the MSM refuses to do.

Palin’s Trooper’Gate: Beating MSM distortions to the truth

It’s been over 12 hours now since Alaskan Governor, Sarah Palin, has been named as GOP choice of Veep. Already, a desperate Obama camp of supporters are in search of talking points… other than the obviously poor choice of “inexperience”… or a scandal to take back what they perceive as the DNC ticket superiority.

Knowing the Palin-Monegan-Wooten investigation of abuse of power was their prime target, I’ve been spending time this AM researching the chain of events in hopes of beating the media to the political and biased distortions creating a new, and false “truth. I took into consideration that journalists… and ardent supporters like Markg8 on Curt’s thread… will be quick to post what they believe is damning evidence without reading more material on the issue.

So on that note, settle back and catch up with the reality of rural country politics. I’d like to share with you what appears to be the crux of the story, using both pro and con Palin bloggers and news media.

A timeline of events in the so-called “scandal”[…]

Go…read…it…all!

You know, I wrote an editorial about Palin and how I believe that McCain picked her because she’s a woman. However, I didn’t mention “Troopergate” because there was an investigation that is ongoing (actually two of them) and it’s been stated that Palin and her people are cooperating.

Besides, I know for a fact that there has to be some formal record of complaints, either in-house or by the public, against Wooten or Monegan to justify why they should be fired. And from the sound of things, there are. Heck, Palin was willing to offer Monegan a different position.

But let’s say for argument’s sake that Palin is guilty of trying to get Wooten fired. Allegedly, this guy abused his stepson (Palin’s nephew, who asked to be tasered apparently), drank on the job and shooting a moose without a license.

If these things are true, who is going to blame Palin to trying to get rid of this guy? Really, if you’re a governor and you have this guy who is married to your sister and doing this stuff, wouldn’t you want to get rid of him too?

While Obama supporters have a right to mention this, they shouldn’t be saying that it’s the truth until the investigations are over.

Hmmm, let us take a look; honest, driven, supports conservative values. Lifetime member of the NRA, she hunts, fishes and has both brains and beauty. If she had red hair, she would be perfect.

The issue is not that Palin’s 17 year old daughter is pregnant, but the issue is that Gov. Sarah Louise Heath Palin lied about it and that Sen. John Sidney McCain, III knew about the lie and did nothing about it. Here are just a few of the character flaws of these two candidates.
    1. One of them is already lying: When the Anchorage Daily News did report the news today (that Palin’s daughter is pregnant), it pointed out: “The Daily News had asked Palin’s press secretary, Bill McAllister, over the weekend to address rumors that Bristol was pregnant. ‘I don’t know. I have no evidence that Bristol’s pregnant,’ he said on Saturday.”

The McCain team asserted that he knew about the pregnancy when he selected Palin. She has five children and now a grandchild coming as she hits the campaign trail.

    2. Palin is already a flip-flopper (a character flaw that the Republicans like to throw around a great deal). “I told Congress, thanks but no thanks on that bridge to nowhere,” Palin told the cheering McCain crowd, referring to Ketchikan’s Gravina Island Bridge. But Palin was for the Bridge to Nowhere before she was against it. The Alaska governor campaigned in 2006 on a build-the-bridge platform, telling Ketchikan residents she felt their pain when politicians called them “nowhere.” They’re still feeling pain today in Ketchikan, over Palin’s subsequent decision to use the bridge funds for other projects — and over the timing of her announcement, which they say came in a pre-dawn press release that seemed aimed at national news deadlines.

    3. Palin, the “family values” candidate is already begging the media to ignore her lie “We ask the media to respect our daughter and Levi’s privacy as has always been the tradition of children of candidates.”

John Sidney McCain, III tells crude and insensitive jokes. Is this the man we want in the Whitehouse?

    • “Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly?” he asked guests at a Senate Republican fundraiser. “Because her father is Janet Reno;” Said by John Sidney McCain, III in 1998.
    • “The French remind me a little bit of an aging actress of the 1940s who is still trying to dine out on her looks but doesn’t have the face for it,” McCain told Fox News a few years ago.
    • Another favorite has been the elderly. He has recalled groveling for forgiveness when, during his 1986 campaign, he referred to a retirement community called “Leisure World” as “Seizure World.”
    • In 1999, in the course of apologizing for his joke about Clinton he recalled for reporters another bad joke: ‘I said, ‘The nice thing about Alzheimer’s is you get to hide your own Easter eggs.'” (Earlier in the 2008 campaign season, he reworked that joke to make himself the target.)
    • McCain was also recently condemned by the government of Iran for suggesting that increasing U.S. cigarette sales to Iran could be “a way of killing ’em.”

But most voters will not know about this aspect of McCain when they vote this fall. They don’t know that he’s a guy who uses the word “c–t” to describe his wife–in public. They don’t.

    • In an appearance before the National League of Cities and Towns in Washington D.C., McCain supposedly asked the crowd if they had heard “the one about the woman who is attacked on the street by a gorilla, beaten senseless, raped repeatedly and left to die?” The punch line: “When she finally regains consciousness and tries to speak, her doctor leans over to hear her sigh contently and to feebly ask, “Where is that marvelous ape?” The joke, as one can imagine, did not go over well with various women’s groups, which responded with indignation. But the McCain campaign denied that he had ever said the offensive gag. “It’s pretty obvious to us that this is a politically motivated sideshow,” Torrie Clarke, McCain’s spokeswoman at the time, said back in 1986. Till this day it has never been proven definitively true or false whether the Senator ever said the line. The Huffington Post reached out to the original reporter in that story, Norma Coile (who after talking to multiple sources months after it was told wrote about the response to the rape joke in the Tuscon Citizen) to find out if she thought it was true.” I’m not sure exactly what the wording was of the joke, but something was said. Some joke involving a rape and ape was said. Enough women repeated it to me at the time and the McCain campaign had a non-denial denial,” said Coile, now with the Arizona Daily Star. “It came after his ‘Seizure World’ joke, in which he referred to the [retirement community] Leisure World as Seizure World… I just think it reinforced this idea that John McCain is humor-challenged. Whatever his qualities, he seems to have a tin ear for how these jokes will go over.”

John Sidney McCain, III and Sarah Louise Heath Palin are already beginning the lies for which the GWB administration has become notorious. We cannot afford another 4 years of the Bush type administration. These are selfish, inhumane people with our lives in their hands.
Before you tell me that any of this is untrue …Google it.

Listen TruthOut, I think it’s a little sleazy for blasting a woman for lying about her pregnant teen-aged daughter. What parent in America wouldn’t do something like that?

Now, if you have some real facts about a real issue, then share them. If you have solid evidence that Palin lied about taking money when she shouldn’t for her campaign, then that’s worthwhile to discuss. But don’t bring up something like this that has no real purpose expect snide partisan attacks.

It’s like when conservatives blasted Obama over the Rev. Wright thing. I supported Obama on that because it wasn’t a real issue and it’s not like he could control the stupid things coming out of Rev. Wright’s mouth. The same thing applies here.

And McCain’s bad jokes? Come on, who really cares? Believe me, it’s not a real issue. If Hillary Clinton cooked little kittens and Obama pushed old ladies down the stairs, I wouldn’t care. Because it’s not about the issues.

It’s time to stop these partisan attacks and put all the focus on the real issues. Because anything else is a waste of time.

    Ronin

LOL She would look great with red hair I think.

I have already given her imaginary make overs.
But heck she is fine the way she is. Down to earth a real American woman. Girl next door grown up and taking charge.

Thanks for handling truthwillout. I want to go at him but will need time. Good God he didn’t leave a comment he posted a novella. Sheeze!

    two
Chelsea Clinton is ugly. I thought you were attacking he and Palin on lying.
Make up your mind! Will you!

And do we really know if Janet Reno is a woman? Do we?

    😆

going after someone’s 17yr old is silly because kids make mistakes. the key here is that the family has already rallied around her, she’s having the baby (it’s not a “punishment” as per BHO), and she’s scheduled to get married to Levi.

As for bad jokes…please, that’s all there is on McCain? well we’re set for a nice 4yrs in that case.

As for the later poster’s mention of Rev. Wright—no Sir, that isn’t something to brush off because BHO attended that church for 20yrs, gave them thousands of dollars, referred to Wright as his spiritual mentor (as well as Meeks), and titled his second book after Wright’s Audacity sermon in which the “white man’s greed runs a world in need” segment is given plenty of attention. No sir, we cannot ignore this or laugh it off.

A person’s church that they regularly attend and reference in their autobiographies/memoirs plays a special role in their life. It’s AT LEAST significant enough that the author is sympathetic to the views or possibly agrees with them.

Don’t believe it? well consider who Michelle Obama had lunch with in 2004 at rainbow/PUSH—Mrs. Meeks and Mrs. Farrakhan. When was the last time someone’s mom or wife on this blog had lunch with Mrs. David Duke, eh? And then posed for pictures for a magazine with her? Anyone? Does that sound like a nice tea party? C’mon, are we really this blind?

Rezko, Ayers, Khalidi, Wright, Meeks—all primary contacts. Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson Sr. (jr is on the campaign), and chicago machine politics are secondary level contacts.

Based on this alone the man could not get a security clearance above SECRET. If elected he will have a TS-SCI with multiple compartments.

Google this, you sad brainwashed citizen.

I did google it and even found MSM articles on these people. No one is connecting dots however in the MSM. My God, we aren’t talking about Right Wing Conspiracy here—we’re talking about several radical connections over a course of YEARS.

someone needs to do an ad on this. very simple, very short, and then run it over and over until people do a little reading and the MSM is forced to do their job and connect some very simple dots.

If McCain had KKK friends and went to a radical church for 20yrs, donated money, and maintained criminal contacts he’d be toast. But all he does is tell bad jokes? Palin fired some scumbag, accepted money for a bridge then decided it was pork, and has a pregnant daughter. Oh no, say it ain’t so—the country will survive methinks.

But another man has multiple radical connections over a course of years, writes memoirs that highlight his desire to “expunge the white blood” from his veins (albeit by quoting Malcolm X) and befriends radicals and Marxists in college (his words, not mine) then that’s probative, particularly in light of his choice of church, his friends, and his wife (and her thesis which states that Ivy League schools are geared to whites including academically—-the implication that if you aren’t from white culture you can’t learn and read from textbooks).

google it google it google it by God if you have any braincells left. The man thinks America is morally bankrupt and somehow we’re no better than “Russia invading Georgia” and that raising taxes is about a “difference in philosophy” and that “defense research should be slowed.”

What exactly is good about his hope and change, change and hope homily? What does he offer except failed socialist philosophy? And who is he despite a racist, economic opportunist, and existentialist wanderer who is trying to find meaning through politics?

Refute these points and I’ll change my vote. But if bad jokes and a baby are all the Left has then too bad. McCain’s energy plan is enough reason to vote for him ALONE not to mention the rest.

Oh and what about labor-induced abortion. Google that and proceed to throw up. Obama has voted against restrictions on it FOUR times.

In Texas, we call it murder when a child is “born and is alive.” Yeah, I learned about that in law school. Try reading something more substantial than nutroots articles on McCain’s bad jokes or Palin’s grandbaby.

Geez, we’re doomed when literate people can’t even distinguish trivia from terror.
