Investigation: Joe the Plumber’s Private Info Gained Using Ohio Government Computers [update: One culprit exposed, surprise! she’s a dem and maxed out Obamna supporter]

October 25, 2008

Scandalous! But so…- not shocking.

Illegally(?) digging for possible dirt on Joe the Plumber,
using state and law-enforcement computer systems.

The Columbus Dispatch

“State and local officials are investigating if state and law-enforcement computer systems were illegally accessed when they were tapped for personal information about “Joe the Plumber.”

Public records requested by The Dispatch disclose that information on Wurzelbacher’s driver’s license or his sport-utility vehicle was pulled from the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles database three times shortly after the debate.

Information on Wurzelbacher was accessed by accounts assigned to the office of Ohio Attorney General Nancy H. Rogers (Democrat), the Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency and the Toledo Police Department.

It has not been determined who checked on Wurzelbacher, or why. Direct access to driver’s license and vehicle registration information from BMV computers is restricted to legitimate law enforcement and government business.

Paul Lindsay, Ohio spokesman for the McCain campaign, attempted to portray the inquiries as politically motivated. “It’s outrageous to see how quickly Barack Obama’s allies would abuse government power in an attempt to smear a private citizen who dared to ask a legitimate question,” he said.

Indeed.

Of course the Obama camp’s hands may be entirely clean in this. But even though,… this is yet another testimony as to what lengths his supporters will go to to protect Obama and smear opponents.

😆 Check it!

Joe the Plumber is the only person brave enough to point out that the King (Lord Barack Most Merciful) has no clothes.

Ohio’s Head of Job and Family Services Approved a Child-Support Search on Joe Wurzelbacher Immediately After Third Debate;
Her Excuse? “Oh, We Always Do That
Confirmed: Max Donor to Obama

Update: Yes, Helen Jones-Kelley (two e’s in Kelley) just happens to be a maximum $2300 contributor to Barack Obama.

What a ******* shock, huh?

But she provides this sort of illegal intrusion into personal records for anyone who “comes into the public light.” It’s a public service, you see.

Right.

Riiiiight.

The Columbus Dispatch

Ohio’s inspector general is investigating why a state agency director approved checking the state child-support computer system for information on “Joe the Plumber.”

Helen Jones-Kelly, director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, confirmed today that she OK’d the check on Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher following the Oct. 15 presidential debate.

She said there were no political reasons for the check on the sudden presidential campaign fixture though the Support Enforcement Tracking System.

Amid questions from the media and others about “Joe the Plumber,” Jones-Kelley said she approved a check to determine if he was current on any ordered child-support payments.

The other democrat speaking up one Gov. Ted Strickland agrees there was no political motive behind it. Why of course he does…..

Democrat Gov. Ted Strickland is satisfied that there are no political overtures to the check on Wurzelbacher, a spokesman said.

In a pigs eye!

    Hi Velvet,

As a state worker with access to all kinds of computer interfaces … I do so believe the possibility of this happening is overwhelming.

I cannot imagine accessing such private data to demolish someone’s reputation, but then again, I am not a follower of The One.
