Obama Bombshell Redistribution of Wealth Audio Uncovered [O compares USA to Nazi Germany & Promoted Redistribution at CDSA Meeting]

October 27, 2008

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.”
~ Winston Churchill

“When you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”
– Barack Obama

“The truth is, in order to get things like universal health care and a revamped education system, then someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so that someone else can have more.”
– Michelle Obama

Barack Obama’s Stealth Socialism – IBD

Before friendly audiences, Barack Obama speaks passionately about something called “economic justice.” He uses the term obliquely, though, speaking in code — socialist code.
Of course, Obama is too smart to try to smuggle such hoary collectivist garbage through the front door. He’s disguising the wealth transfers as “investments” — “to make America more competitive,” he says, or “that give us a fighting chance,” whatever that means.

Among his proposed “investments”:

• “Universal,” “guaranteed” health care.

• “Free” college tuition.

• “Universal national service” (a la Havana).

• “Universal 401(k)s” (in which the government would match contributions made by “low- and moderate-income families”).

• “Free” job training (even for criminals).

• “Wage insurance” (to supplement dislocated union workers’ old income levels).

• “Free” child care and “universal” preschool.

• More subsidized public housing.

• A fatter earned income tax credit for “working poor.”

A perfect storm of statism is forming, and our economic freedoms are at serious risk.

If you look at the victories and failures of the civil rights movement and its litigation strategy in the court. I think where it succeeded was to invest formal rights in previously dispossessed people, so that now I would have the right to vote. I would now be able to sit at the lunch counter and order as long as I could pay for it I’d be o.k. But, the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and of more basic issues such as political and economic justice in society. To that extent, as radical as I think people try to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn’t that radical. It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution, at least as its been interpreted and Warren Court interpreted in the same way, that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. Says what the states can’t do to you. Says what the Federal government can’t do to you, but doesn’t say what the Federal government or State government must do on your behalf, and that hasn’t shifted and one of the, I think, tragedies of the civil rights movement was, um, because the civil rights movement became so court focused I think there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalition of powers through which you bring about redistributive change. In some ways we still suffer from that.

People in the comments are asking for the original source, skeptical of the editing on this clip. Listen to it for yourself, he said what he said…no creative editing or missing context. Here is the original (ram.).

Update: audio of the above original clip

Oh, and while you are at it, here is another clip of Obama stating that the Constitution is a flawed document.
For everyone that thought Obama was taken out of context, listen very closely. In a 2001 Chicago Public Radio Interview Obama is discussing the best way to bring about a Redistribution of Wealth.

“For socialists, not just the wealth, but the guilt, must be redistributed.” — Andrew Sandlin

Need more proof of Barack Obama’s hidden socialist intentions? Listen to the audio in this video, recorded in 1995, in which Obama trashes the United States as a racist nation where whites constantly subjugate blacks:

1995 Obama Bizarre, Race Baiting Interview Found! @YouTube

Note how the video cuts back and forth from 1995 to present day statements so you can see his socialist views on wealth redistribution have not changed during the past 12 years. In 1995, Obama said reparations should take the form of taxing wealthy “white” professionals and redistribute it to “inner city” schools. Earlier this year at a debate during the Democratic Primary, Obama made the same argument that he believes reparations should take the form of investing in education.

At about 15:30, Obama compares what was going on in the United States during the time of Brown vs. the Board of Education to … Nazi Germany. Yes, really. Here’s the quote:

“…just to take a, sort of a realist perspective…there’s a lot of change going on outside of the Court, um, that, that judges essentially have to take judicial notice of. I mean you’ve got World War II, you’ve got uh, uh, uh, the doctrines of Nazism, that, that we are fighting against, that start looking uncomfortably similar to what we have going on, back here at home.”

Obama Promoted Redistribution at a Socialist Group’s Meeting in 1996; Media Could Easily Have Found

It comes from the March-April 1996 edition of New Ground, a publication of the Chicago Democratic Socialists of America (CDSA).

Here’s what Obama had to say at “A Town Meeting on Economic Insecurity: Employment and Survival in Urban America” on February 25, 1996 in Chicago

The state government can also play a role in redistribution, the allocation of wages and jobs. As Barack Obama noted, when someone gets paid $10 million to eliminate 4,000 jobs, the voters in his district know this is an issue of power not economics. The government can use as tools labor law reform, public works and contracts.

One final thing…

Obama also won a laugh at the expense of Chief Justice John Roberts, saying that judgments of Roberts’ character during his confirmation hearings were largely superficial. “He loves his wife. He’s good to his dog,” he joked, adding that judicial philosophy should be weighted more seriously than such evaluations. “We need somebody who’s got the heart, the empathy, to recognize what it’s like to be a young teenage mom. The empathy to understand what it’s like to be poor, or African-American, or gay, or disabled, or old. And that’s the criteria by which I’m going to be selecting my judges.
