Stimulus – Democrats in a Candy Store
Look at the smiles on Reid and Schumer’s faces. Is this something to be happy about?

Asked by a reporter if the “economic stimulus” package is big enough, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) points out that the bill is approaching a price tag of 1 trillion dollars.

President Obama last Thursday night stated his belief in the need for urgent action on the economic recovery bill working its way through Congress. “If we do not move swiftly … an economy that is already in crisis will be faced with catastrophe,”

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 44% of Americans agree with Obama and 41% do not.

There is a huge partisan divide on the question. Sixty-nine percent (69%) of Democrats agree with the president’s insistence that failure to pass a bill now means catastrophe, while 64% of Republicans do not. Among voters not affiliated with either major party, 32% say Obama’s right, but 51% don’t agree

Obama’s Decline Continues

There’s little doubt that Obama’s eroding support over the past week is linked to his strident backing of the Democrats’ pork extravaganza, which many people (including the Congressional Budget Office) fear will make the economy worse, not better.

Isn’t is time we all said “I am mad as hell and I am not going to take it anymore”?
No Stimulus – Sign the Petition
88,857 signatures and counting

“Congress should not enact an expensive spending bill under the pretense of stimulus or recovery. We cannot spend our way to prosperity, and such an expansion of the federal government will put a crushing burden on taxpayers in the long-term.”

Obama is lying to your face while stabbing you in the back.

Tonight BHO takes to the air waves in prime time to push that bailout bill.

I have noted in my most recent post that the TV networks are started to get concerned. Heh.

I guess Emperor O thinks he has control of network airwaves.

And does not have to listen to US little people.

An analysis by Scott Rasmussen notes that the stimulus debate is now driven by a tug-of-war between the popularity of President Obama and the nation’s deeply ingrained reluctance to increase government spending. Forty-eight percent (48%) of voters believe that increased spending is generally bad for the economy. On the other hand, 57% say tax cuts are generally good for the economy.
The latest Rasmussen Reports poll – showing that 62% want more tax cuts and less government spending – is similar to a CBS News poll taken last week. That poll found that 62% said that reducing taxes will do more than increased spending to end the recession.

We tried to tell people we shouted it till we were hoarse but the ijits voted him in anyways And now we the rest of us have to suffer. While many who voted for him are becoming disillusioned with Obama. It is all so damn infuriating.

The decline in the polls is a normal effect to the 1 trillion dollars stimulus plan ( 😯 ). But if Republicans don’t fight back and point where they should they are not going to benefit from this decline. I really believe they should.

“And, don’t do it again!” interjected A.J.
