Lou Pritchett: "An Open Letter To President Obama"

June 11, 2009

The letter the NY Times did not see fit to print. Regardless of the NY Times protection of Dear Leader Obama the letter hit the internet and has become viral. Meanwhile the NY Times is sinking faster than the Titanic.  Dear NY Times karma is a biatch, is it not?

Dear President Obama:
You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.

You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.

You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.

You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.

You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.

You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don’t understand it at its core.

You scare me because you lack humility and ‘class’, always blaming others.

You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.

acorn-networ-2

American Thinker-Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis: This chart puts Barack Obama at the epicenter of an incestuous stew of American radical leftism. Not only are his connections significant, they practically define who he is. Taken together, they constitute a who's who of the American radical left, and guiding all is the Cloward-Piven strategy. Conspicuous in their absence are any connections at all with any other group, moderate, or even mildly leftist. They are all radicals, firmly bedded in the anti-American, communist, socialist, radical leftist mesh.

You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the ‘blame America ‘ crowd and deliver this message abroad.

You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.

You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.

You scare me because you prefer ‘wind mills’ to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.

You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.

You scare me because you have begun to use ‘extortion’= tactics against certain banks and corporations.

You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.

You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.

You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.

You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.

You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O’Relllys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.

You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.
Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.

Lou Pritchett

Note: Lou Pritchett is a former vice president of Procter & Gamble whose career at that company spanned 36 years before his retirement in 1989, and he is the author of the 1995 business book, Stop Paddling & Start Rocking the Boat.

Mr. Pritchett confirmed that he was indeed the author of the much-circulated “open letter.” “I did write the ‘you scare me’ letter. I sent it to the NY Times but they never acknowledged or published it. However, it hit the internet and according to the ‘experts’ has had over 500,000 hits.

AN OPEN LETTER TO LOU PRITCHETT

You are the umpteenth conservative I’ve had to listen to over my life and just like Nixon you truly scare me.

You scare me because no one knows you and yet many will believe your propaganda letter. Our President wrote two books about himself if you want to know him.

You scare me because you didn’t read his books, which is what gave him royalties to pay off his and Michelle’s student loans. That upscale lifestyle you speak was their annual income of $430,000 in which 62% of it was Michelle’s (265,000). The remainder was his senate salary. This is public knowledge by the way.

You scare me to think that Hawaii is not culturally American, which is where he spent his life from birth to the age of six, in which his mother made the decision to move to Indonesia until returning years later. He came back to Hawaii for high school. Please don’t refer to him as not being culturally American because his mother chooses to leave and come back while he was six.

You scare me Lou because you believe that running a company and payroll will help us in mess brought on by the CEO’s from corporate America who are really gifted when it comes to payroll and CEO salaries.

You scare me to think that a man must have military experience to lead the military, I would like to tell you about the greatness of both the Adams and Jefferson and what they have done for this country with no military background, but let’s look at two modern ones- Wilson and FDR, hmmmm, I think those two might have helped us win a couple WORLD WARS!!!! With no Military background I wonder how they did that? You also scare me because you don’t realize Barrack’s grandfather joined the U.S. troops when we were attacked at Pearl Harbor when FDR called on him, who by the way helped raise him in Hawaii, I think his grandfather would have installed some American culture by this example alone.

You scare me to think that our President lacks humility and class while blaming others. Let’s see a direct quote “I screwed up” – President Barrack Obama in regards to his Daschle appointment. Well that seems pretty humble to me.

You scare me to think that there’s a correlation between a man who bombed buildings when Barrack was eight years old and decades later when they serve on the same educational board. Now he has ties to domestic terrorism! Really! I mean really? Come on; do better than that correlation to that old hippie Bill Ayers. Let’s see what the President said on YOUR Bill O’Reily show on 9-9-08 SEN. OBAMA: “This guy is not part of my campaign. He’s not some adviser of mine. He is somebody who worked on education issues in Chicago that I know. The problem that your viewers, your guys, your folks, the folks you champion, the problem you’re going through, the problems they’re going through with trying to pay their bills, trying to keep their job, trying to move up in this world, their problem isn’t Bill Ayers. It was Bill Ayers 40 years ago when he was blowing stuff up.” Do you know Lou how many men served along side Timothy Mcveigh in the U.S. Military, hundreds of thousands and all those troops are now terrorist associates right. Sounds a little far fetched.

You scare me to think that America’s never wrong and that admitting to doing wrong is in some sort of way unpatriotic, read some of Thomas Jefferson’s writings if you want to see how an intelligent man views a hypocritical country he’s trying to run when he himself is of moral integrity. We have made mistakes and it is ok to say sorry. The Nazi’s and Soviets thought they too were always right and I think history has proved them wrong when it comes to such arrogance. Such arrogance will never be respected let alone trusted.

You scare me to think that our President actually had a choice when it came to bailing out these fortune 500 companies that had failed miserable at the hands of the Bush administration economic policies that ran amuck along with the housing market. No one wants socialism, but you can’t let corporate mistakes ruin the whole country or even the world economy for that matter.

You scare me to think that you think the Health care system doesn’t need a complete overhaul. Everyone knows that, even the Republicans are trying their own health care reform bill. What actually scares me is that you probably don’t know anyone who has never had health insurance let alone watching your mother die while worrying about her own bills. Again President Obama- “For my mother to die of cancer at the age of 53 and have to spend the last months of her life in the hospital room arguing with insurance companies because they’re saying that this may be a pre-existing condition and they don’t have to pay her treatment, there’s something fundamentally wrong about that”. It scares me to think that you have no empathy for such people nor will you ever understand. Someone has to get involved or some of us will parish under the current system. Do you know that government health care has already been successful throughout Europe and our sister country Canada, why do we have to be behind the times with our medical care?

You scare me tremendously when you say that oil and other old sources of fuel that is untapped in this country and cause global warming are in preference of windmills. Okay? Based on what? Profits? Well then yes, anything else is destroying our planet. Again the world’s most renowned scientists all agree on this consistently already.

You scare me to think that President Obama is killing the golden goose, Bush administration has already been there, done that. AIG, Fannie Mae, and Freddy Mac have already inflated and killed the American Dream for the millions of Americans who now can’t pay their mortgage.

You scare me when you think the banks are being extorted. Read anything regarding the corruptness of the Federal Reserve and then talk to me about extortion and banks, they have extorted us throughout history and always will.

You scare me to think that the democrats don’t worry about how much it is going to cost us to clean up the Bush mess, billions is nothing when we start talking trillions. We all suffer now from your fear.

You scare me when you think that he doesn’t listen to intelligent opposition, yet he has appointed many republicans alongside of himself including John Mccue, the veteran congressman from upstate New York who joins his former colleague from Illinois, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood , and Utah Gov. Jon Hunstman , the ambassador-designate to China, are among the ranks of Republicans in the Obama administration, a list that nearly included New Hampshire Sen. Judd Gregg as Commerce Secretary. He even kept one of Bush’s cabinet memebers with Robert Gates as Secatary of Defense.

You scare the crap out of me when you think that President Obama believes he all-powerful and infinitely wise. When did he declare himself the second coming? Just because Oprah thinks he is the “ONE” doesn’t mean he does. Please stop twisting and believing everything Rush tells you. Again does the all-knowing ever say, “I screwed up”.

You scare me to think that the press gives him a free pass on everything. The media in itself is just one thing that has been wrong with this country for decades and now you blame our President today. The media is a puppet and some people have always known that and the first President to acknowledge that and use it to their advantage was a great republican I’m sure you idolize by the name of Ronald Reagan. In On Bended Knee, a book about the press and Reagan based on interviews with scores of journalists, news executives and Administration officials; there are numerous cases of self-censorship. The management of CBS News, allegedly the most liberal of America’s TV networks, ordered its Washington bureau-in particular White House correspondent Lesley Stahl-to tone down criticism of Reagan because ordinary Americans supposedly didn’t want to hear it. At the New York Times, correspondent Raymond Bonner was pulled off the Central America beat after his expose of a civilian massacre by US-trained forces in El Salvador angered Administration officials and their right-wing allies at the Wall Street Journal editorial page. A camera crew for ABC News filmed troops on their way to Grenada and got confirmation of the impending invasion from US officials in the region, but their executive producer in New York trusted an off-the-record denial by the Pentagon more than his own reporters and killed the story. He had the nickname Teflon Ron in this regard, what about the man who invented this game Lou?

You scare me to think that Limbaugh and O’Reily are not already looked upon as demons and propagandist among the majority of people in this country. They only sell seeds of hate and mistrust that leads ignorance to become rampant among the religious right. If Obama thinks that then why did he go on Bill’s show? They will have you believe that they are the ones being ousted and the mainstream media is on par with that “ Elite Black guy”. We know this already by them blaming then nominee Obama for the stock market crash in November before the election even started! Some intelligent people realize that President Obama did not have anything to do with the collapse of the U.S. economy and voted for him. Some don’t, and then again some people blame all Jews for the death of Jesus. When you go to Rush Limbaugh who was fired for racist comment regarding a black quarterback (Donovan Mcnabb) for your information, then expect to think like bigot if you listen to one.

You scare me because you prefer hate instead of common sense. When will you realize that your bipartisan right wing conservatism hate is a thing of the past? The people already know and have spoken. We DON’T believe you. We don’t believe in your fear that has already crippled the whole country since 9/11. We don’t believe in your fear of our first black president because he’s our first black president. Do you honestly think that we believe him to be an unknown, elite, un-American, financially inept, classless, terrorist sympathizer, who hates America but loves Europe and is also a corporate killing, socialist, extorter, who doesn’t listen to intelligent people like Rush Limbaugh because he thinks that he is Jesus Christ. Get a grip Lou! We don’t and never will believe in your fear, FDR has already warned us of your hate mongers and even stopped one by the name of Adolph while warning of another by the name of Joseph. When will we learn our lessons of fear mongering that you use are the same as Hitler used in scaring the German people that the Jews were out to get them? The same fear that drove Stalin to kill millions of innocent people. You either do not know history or you do and if you do my dear sir it is truly scary.

Finally, you scare me because some people will actually never read my letter and only yours. When do we have a world in which fear does not reign over freedom? When will all men and women be created equally in your eyes and those that believe your letter? When will the hate stop? When will the lies cease to exist? When will your children and mine be able to base people on there merits and not the words of others. When will we as one nation under God be just that? When? Hopefully soon because you are truly SCARING THE HELL OUT OF ME!

P.S. I know my letter is a little longer, but that happens when you include some facts in trying to tell someone that they no longer have to be afraid of the “Elite Black Devil”, he just might be good person after all. By the way the ones who should be really scared are the republicans. Letters like his is what killed your party and made it into a Southern Political Machine with no sign of any hope. Did I say HOPE? Cause now I finally have some! Oh yeah this letter doesn’t have to be initially anonymous either!

What a reply! Congratulations Tim! Glad your letter was not shorter, I enjoyed every single bit of it.

Interesting to see how people like Mr Pritchett distort the facts and still get away with it. There are even people praising him for the venom he spits out.

Thank you for such as wonderful comment!

Quite the diatribe you have posted. Do you not know what a paragraph is? Obviously not. I plan to counter your foolishness as soon as I can find the time. And time it will take. Your 2104 word essay/misguided rant is a lot to digest. Stay tuned.

An Open Letter to Lou Pritchett:

    Dear Mr. Pritchett:

You don’t scare me, because after eight long years of this type of nonsense from those at your end of the political spectrum trying their best to ‘scare’ me and everyone else in the world, most thinking people are now immune to your tactics of fear and misinformation.

You don’t scare me, because people who read newspapers instead of getting their information from Fox ‘News’ and diatribes like yours, understand that the fraudulent and irresponsible ‘scaring’ of Americans is what led to the debacle in Iraq, the deaths of thousands of Americans and untold damage to our country, and to the subversion of the United States Constitution by the last administration, which used similar methods to strike fear here at home to bypass the judiciary and engage in warrantless searches and spying on American citizens, authorize torture of prisoners and hold others without charges or access to lawyers or courts. Due process of law was just another victim of the big scare.

You don’t scare me, because in 2009, with the experience of the last administration running this country into the worst economic meltdown since 1929, your Chicken Little strategy is only playing to a very small crowd of lemmings who, like the caged birds trained to push the button for a treat, will automatically forward copies of your letter without really questioning the merits of your vacuous allegations.

You don’t scare me, because even though you concede right up front in your ridiculous letter that you “know nothing about” President Obama, you then proceed to vilify him in a series of pronouncements about what you think he thinks and what you think his intentions are, as if you do in fact know something about him.

You don’t scare me, because although you identify yourself as the ‘foremost leader in change management,’ ‘a true living legend’ and ‘an acclaimed author, dynamic teacher and one of the world’s highest rated speakers,’ for some reason as of June 17, 2009 you don’t even have a bio in Wikipedia. In fact, your name is not listed anywhere in the Wikipedia database. (Although I will concede that you travel in some pretty fast company and apparently have been photographed with a celebrity cartoon cat, or at least a guy in a giant Garfield costume. http://www.loupritchett.com/htm/about.htm)

You don’t scare me, because you are apparently nothing more than a self-aggrandizing, self-promoter, who rather than engaging in serious, intelligent discourse, has set out to trash the President in exchange for notoriety and potential remuneration, not unlike the “Limbaughs, Hannitys, O’Relllys and Becks” who are paid large amounts of money to trash the President and everything he does every day, (and whom you, ironically, claim the President is trying to ‘demonize’).

You don’t scare me, because like so many others who write to newspapers and rant on AM talk radio every day, rather than engaging in intelligent, substantive discourse to advance your political agenda, you are instead compelled to resort to defamatory ad hominem attacks, relying primarily upon jingoistic demagoguery, innuendo and falsehoods. You of all people, as a former soap salesman and sales development professional, should realize that’s a dead giveaway that you really have no confidence in the merits of your arguments. It is also thought by many to be the main reason why the Republican Party is presently in disarray.

You don’t scare me, because your statements about Mr. Obama such as ‘culturally you are not an American,’ are so ridiculous as to make people wonder how anyone could take anything you say seriously. Similar lame attempts to make President Obama out to be some sort of “Manchurian Candidate” were soundly rejected by voters last November. But please continue. It only exposes more of your ignorance.

You don’t scare me, because although it’s very easy to say things like “you lack humility and ‘class’, always blaming others,” when you make such simple-minded arguments, they sound more like a third-grader calling names on the playground than a rational, logical and cohesive statement of your concerns. But I guess your are assuming that is the mentality of the only potential audience you have left. In retrospect, our last president was not exactly known for his humility or class either, nor for his business acumen or military service, (not to mention accepting blame for anything… ever), yet I would suspect it is highly unlikely that you complained to the New York Times about it.

Finally, Mr. Pritchett, you don’t scare me, because when you make really goofy statements about Mr. Obama like “you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient,” people who have not already hit the delete button will either laugh or smile, shake their heads and say, “If this ‘living legend’ is as smart as he thinks he is, why can’t he come up with something better than this drivel?”

This does not boil down to respect, color, race or creed. If you are to take a look at the differences in Prichette versus Obama you will see something very distinct, called a job. I guarantee if you interviewed both parties mentioned you would not have hired Obama due to the lack of inexperience. Well my liberal friends now we know what little experience he has. I do not know why everyone is blind to the fact that our nation as we once knew it is over. So much for our government being transparent.

Thank you. What a refreshing change of pace. I dare any of the above Obama supporters to start over BUT remove emotion and insert logic.

As blind and as sycophantic as the NY Times. The story is not so much what Lou Pritchett had to say. But that the NY Times would not print it.

I do look forward to reading your promised rebuttal. Of course it has been almost 2 months since you made that promise.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! for your great response to Lou Pritchett’s Letter.

I have written Lou personally pertaining to his open letter to the pres. He could not anwser any of my questions only post links to his letter. He claims over 2 million hits means 2 million AGREE. That’s a laugh.
He is spreading HIS abnormal fears as truth. Fear begats fear, I see nothing beneficial in this primative thought process. While he could not address my concerns to did end his communication to me with name calling. Well isn’t that mature. I don’t care how important and prominent he may be, his letter shouts ignorance. I truly feel sorry for anyone living in fear, frozen in fear or fear of change. How sad for him.

AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT OBAMA
    Written by Lou Pritchett
    **Rebutted by Randy Johnson

    Dear President Obama:
    **So far so good…

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.
    **Translation: “you’re black!”

You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.
**That’s Pritchett’s fault. He could have known plenty about Obama months before he was president if he wasn’t so lazy. Obama’s biography is much more complete than the official George Bush Biography, and Obama’s book The Audacity of Hope explains his political philosophy quite extensively. Also Obama actually wrote both books himself. Since he was elected he’s been under a microscope like no other president in history. Bigots “don’t know” because they choose to not know. They’re too busy being afraid to actually learn about what they criticize.

You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.
**Barack attended college on student loans and scholarships. He only recently completed paying off his student loans after 2005 with proceeds from the two books he wrote. Barack’s housing situation in New York, Chicago, and while attending college were quite modest. After graduation he made good money for awhile at a law firm (big surprise considering he earned his way academically to become head of the Harvard Law Review) but he left that law firm to become a community organizer during which time he lived a very modest life just a couple blocks from the poorest neighborhoods of Chicago. Only after his books became best sellers and he got into politics did he begin to live an “upscale” lifestyle.

**I think when people like Pritchett say “no visible signs of support” they mean “You don’t come from a rich family like George Bush and you didn’t marry a multi-millionaire beer heiress like John McCain, so you scare me.”

You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.
**Barack was born and raised in Hawaii until he was 6, then his stepfather (who was working for a US oil company until his visa ran out) moved him and his mother to Indonesia where he was very much an outsider. His mother tutored him there daily so he wouldn’t get behind his American schoolmates, and primarily because she wanted him to have an American education she sent him back to Hawaii when he was 10. He was primarily raised by his Kansas born white grandparents after that. It’s all in his biography for anyone interested enough to read it.

You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.
**Ohhhhh he got Obama with that one! Once again Barack, you need to be more like George Bush. George ran two companies (right into the ground, with daddy’s money.) Note: Running a company doesn’t qualify you to run a country, unless of course you believe in the wonderful teachings of Fascism.

You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don’t understand it at its core.
**WHOLLY CRAP! Are you kidding? After “six deferment” Cheney, and reserve deserter Bush Pritchett dares to criticize Barack for not serving in the military?

You scare me because you lack humility and ‘class’, always blaming others.
**I can list several times where Barack has apologized for the smallest of mistakes and times where he’s taken the blame for the actions of others in his campaign and administration. I don’t think Pritchett can site many if any examples to back up this ridiculous personal attack.

You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.
**If by “aligned” Pritchett means “lived in the same city as” “went to the church of” or “attended the same fundraiser as,” and if by extremist you mean an angry old preacher, a professor who over 40 years ago did something terrible, or a bum in Chicago politics who every Chicago politician has had to deal with at some point then he has a point, except that Obama has publicly denounced the immoral, unlawful and angry actions of every one of those people.

You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the ‘blame America’ crowd and deliver this message abroad.
**See 2 sections up: America has lacked humility and ‘class’, and has been blaming and attacking other countries for years now. The world rightly distrusts our government. Barack is simply and very smartly re-earning that trust across the globe, making Americans at home and abroad safer. Hey, we don’t have to pretend to be Canadians to travel anymore!!

You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.
**The private sector has never been more unchecked than during these past 8 plus years (Halliburton, Enron, Blackwater, etc) Our tax dollars have been going to pay private contractors trillions of dollars, and private companies have pirated what were once public utilities to the point of decimating many of them. The private sector has brought us to the brink of economic collapse, and now only the government can fix it. Unfortunately however that private sector has squirreled away most of the “lost” money, and now the middle class must replace it little by little until we get out of this mess.

**By “European style country” Pritchett means a country that doesn’t legally recognize corporations as “people” as we do here in America. This small difference between us and our European friends allows corporations to dominate American politics with their “free speech dollars” dwarfing actual peoples voices in Washington DC.

You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.
**Pritchett and many like him fear that if we do what every other modern industrial country has done and provide health care to all our citizens average people will have access to health care and as a consequence billionaire insurance and pharma CEO’s will have to go back to being mere millionaires. We do not by any measure have the best health care in the world, we only have the most expensive health care in the world.

You scare me because you prefer ‘wind mills’ to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.
**Another Ohhhhh! …..Clean renewable energy is truly scary! It’s funny how he says “Our own vast oil, coal etc….” as though the wind is owned by some other country. Or maybe that’s his problem – You can’t own the wind.
You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.
**Golden egg? I think Pritchett means golden parachute for all those CEO friends of his.
You scare me because you have begun to use ‘extortion’ tactics against certain banks and corporations.
**”Extortion” to Pritchett maybe, but most of us would call it “Regulations.”
You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.
**Remember Pritchett and the Republicans screaming for Bush to stop spending all that money between 2001 and 2008? Oh you don’t? Me neither. I guess trying to save the economy just isn’t as “responsible” as blowing shit up, and giving tax breaks to the filthy rich.
You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.
**This one doesn’t even pass the laugh test.
You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.
**Another one that doesn’t even pass the laugh test. Bush and Cheney sure thought they were omnipotent (having complete and unchallengeable authority) but they sure weren’t omniscient (having total all encompassing knowledge) were they?
You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.
**The “liberal media” claim is getting old. Conservative talk radio dwarfs liberal talk radio across the country, and the corporate TV stations make sure that liberal views are kept in check. Only MSNBC is pushing the liberal envelope. The others cower benieth the corporate machine, while FOX (Faux) “news” actually fired 2 reporters for “refusing to lie as directed by FOX on the air” and then FOX won in court the “right to lie” over the public airways.
You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O’Relllys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.
**See above: FOX won in court the “right to lie” over the public airways. And Rush is a proven liar (see Al Franken’s book Rush Limbaugh Is a Big Fat Idiot.)
You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.
**I haven’t seen a more conciliatory and compromising president since Jimmy Carter.
Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.
**Ah, just as I suspected Pritchett is paranoid and delusional.

    Lou Pritchett
**That part’s true his name is Lou!

    TRUE – CHECK: http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/youscareme.asp
**Yes, Snopes confirmed that Pritchett wrote the letter. Political hacks write false accusations to newspapers every day. Reputable newspapers like the NY Times throw them in the garbage. I have to ask why he didn’t send his to other newspapers. I expect the answer is that they all would have rejected him, but the NY Times rejection gives him more publicity. Also and most importantly while Snopes confirmed that Pritchett wrote the letter, Snopes does not say that even a single accusation in the letter is true.

Randy – thanks for the much needed laugh! Did you see – he offered up to Fox News in his “exclusive interview” with them that he wasn’t even a student of politics…NO, gee really? Wouldn’t have been able to figure that out from reading that eloquent letter you wrote to Mr. President. Sure seemed like you had policy opinions and facts all in check! NOT.

You should read that and post again, love to see your reaction.
A snippet of the piece after Lou is introduced by Fox host Neil Cavuto:

LOU PRITCHETT, FORMER VICE PRESIDENT, PROCTER & GAMBLE: Neil, thank you very much.
Let me — in your introduction, you said something about corporate legend. Let me tell you, I’m not so sure about that. But I know one thing, that I am not a political activist. In fact, my only political activity in my entire life has been voting in presidential and congressional elections, and since I was 21 years old.
I’m not even a student of politics.

Well, maybe he should comment on things he is a student of and knows a thing or two about….Sales. If we want some soap Lou, we’ll give you a call.

Thanks for that link. Wow! It’s amazing that this guy and so many like him can even function with their heads so deep in the sand.

Big business and small minds – It’s a dangerous combination.

Hey Frank Forbes! (I was) a Student in Economics 101 in 1974 and I don’t agree with LOU ! The proffessor there made the comment that Pure Socialism cannot succeed and Pure Capitalism cannot either!

He predicted that the Soviet Union would be forced to inncoporate Capatialism / Democracy and the US would be Forced to face Social Issues.

I think he hit the mark!

    Oh! Yeah!

    I don’t agree with LOU!

You all are taking Lou’s letter so personal. Blind worship of a politician is creepy and pathetic.

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.
    **Translation: “you’re black!”

    Dear Tom Degan
Grow up already! The last thing you or your idol Obama need worry about is Lou Pritchett. ACORN toppling for one. And what with the exposure of the OCommie Czar Van Jones, Obama’s intentions are becoming more clear.
Lou is but a tiny fish oh toolish one. The same goes for all the rest of you 0botomy patients. Get a grip. Man crushes are so disgusting.

Lou Pritchett is old (he retired in 1989), he was raised in the south and probably considered African Americans as sub-human most of his life. He can’t stand that an African American is President of the United States. I see the pro Pritchett folks use code names (just like the Klan). I have talked to many Southerners who say they are not racist then use the “N” word in every sentence or worse like – First Southerner, “The guy got a dump truck stuck by driving into heavy mud.” Second Southerner, “Was he a white guy?”. First Southerner, “Yes!” in an incredoulus tone of voice. I think it’s not called “playing the race card” but “tell it like it is”.

    Velvet,
You must be doing something right to draw the attention of the copy-and-paste crowd. So many of them must be unemployed in their previous professions and happy to be in the boiler-rooms of Soros and Company. They pounce within seconds of new posts on the blogs and sites like Youtube –almost as if…. they had nothing else to do.
Ah, the stench of their hate and anger, the dull humorless similarity of their rants, the disdain for Southerners or any rural people.

    Viva Velvethammer!
