Tell the ObamaCare Shills at ABC News and their Advertisers How You Feel

June 23, 2009

Sick to death of the sycophantic shills for Obama and the Dems (CorruptOCrats) at the MSM?

Networks balance reports on AMA speech, but ABC outrages public with week of health care coverage, ‘World News,’ ‘GMA’ to be aired from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

ABC, CBS and NBC have already shown favoritism toward Obama on the issue of health care. On May 11 and 12, immediately before and Obama delivered a speech about health care reform the networks told only Obama’s side of the debate. Out of eight segments and two news briefs only one included a critic and a second included brief footage of a commercial opposing government-run health insurance.

Cooking the numbers to satisfy their agenda…

The networks also have a lengthy history of exaggerating the breadth of the uninsured problem. As the Business & Media Institute pointed out in 2007, the claim that 47 million to 50 million Americans are uninsured is false. According to the Census Bureau, 45.6 million people living in the U.S. are uninsured, but that includes 9.7 million non-citizens as well as 7.9 million under 24 years old and more than 9 million who make at least $75,000 a year and should be able to afford insurance without government assistance.

Not only that. “During Healthcare ‘Special’ ABC Refuses Paid Ads That Oppose Obamacare” !

Then surely you have heard the news of ABC completely falling into bed with the Obama Admin White House. Both feet off of the floor, snuggling up, under the covers –spooning.

Unprecedented. Outrageous. Out of order.

This is America. Land of the free press. Or has the MSM turned into state run media?

ABC News Teams Up With Obama White House to Present President’s Health Care Plan

ABC News will host an hour-long special on health care reform in the U.S. next Wednesday (June 24) from the White House East Room — a move that ABC is defending but critics are calling a surrender to the Obama administration’s effort to control the debate.

The prime time special — called “Questions for the President: Prescription for America” by ABC News — will be a nationally televised event during which President Obama will answer questions presented by audience members selected by ABC News.

But critics of Obama’s health care reform are asking that they be allowed to voice their side of the national debate.

“In the absence of opposition, I am concerned this event will become a glorified infomercial to promote the Democrat agenda. If that is the case, this prime time infomercial should be paid for out of the DNC coffers. President Obama does not hold a monopoly on health care reform ideas or on free airtime,” Ken McKay, Chief of Staff for the Republican National Committee, wrote in a letter to ABC News President David Westin.

“The president has stated time and time again that he wants a bipartisan debate. Therefore, the Republican Party should be included in this prime time event,” McKay wrote.

The Internet is being to heat up with some conservative bloggers calling for people to boycott  advertisers on ABC.  One blogger wrote that “all Americans who are opposed to a major media arm becoming a visible branch of the presidential political machine” should use the marketplace to voice their objection.

Last paragraph –great segue into the “tell them how you feel part”

Vicky Nissen has been industrious enough to have compiled a list of ABC News advertisers and links to their customer contact forms. She also put together a short form letter you can use to send to each company.

But before you contact ABC and it’s advertisers arm yourselves with information:

I noticed that _______ is an advertiser on ABC News. I, and many other hardworking American taxpayers, are boycotting ABC News and its advertisers due to is upcoming broadcast from the White House regarding Barack Obama’s government-run health care plan. I hope you will reconsider your advertising support of ABC News. If not, I will not be purchasing your products any longer.

Feel free to add to it or come up with your own select thoughts to send their way.
