Malmö Sweden: Fear of Muslim riots creating an unsafe atmosphere lead to the Sweden vs Israel Davis cup match being held behind closed doors [updated and bumped]

The possibility nay the probability of thousands of raging Muslims protesting the Davis Cup match between Sweden and Israel has led to the match being held behind closed doors.

This is yet another example of anti freedom and anti democracy in the West.  The catalyst —ISLAM. Another disgusting example of leftist politicians kissing the ass of Muslim immigrants.  Over and above all. Freedom? Why bother with such a thing as freedom when you can pander to radical Muslims and reap their votes. I have a news flash for them that is not all they will reap  if they continue down this thorny path. They will eventually become a minority and the law of the land will be Sharia then they will learn what it is like to be an enslaved infidel under an Islamic Caliphate. Problem is then it will be to late. And they will have taken the rest of us down with them.

The nitty gritty… Muslim IMMIGRANTS in Malmö Sweden along with their joined at the hip cohorts the Social Democrat and Left Party WHINE about the Israel Davis Cup team  playing the Swedish Davis Cup team on Swedish soil. Staggering just staggering,  the Muslims get all worked up because the Israel Davis Cup team will be coming to their HOST country Sweden. The crybabies are upset over Israel’s defensive attack against Gaza. Well being as Gaza is ran by the terrorist group Hamas who gives a flying fig? Those who sympathize with terrorists and denounce Israel are no better than the blood thirsty Islamic Muslim terrorists themselves. If they have so much affection for filthy murderous terrorists I suggest they go the extra mile and join up. At the very least get the hell out of the West. This includes all whiny and/or violent Muslim immigrants, their offspring and their dhimmi politician pals.

And leave the West to democratically minded people who choose civilization and freedom and abhor the backwards misogynistic inhumane stuck in the damn 7th century uncivilized totalitarian political ideology and all else that comes with it —–Islam.

The Local
Sweden’s upcoming Davis Cup tennis match against Israel will be held behind closed doors, Malmö city council ruled on Wednesday. The decision follows a vocal campaign against the match in protest at the situation in the Middle East.

The match was scheduled to be played from March 6th to 8th at the Baltiska Hallen venue, which can hold 4,000 spectators. Police had said the match could go ahead and that the public could be admitted.

It is a tennis match get over your selves. In my opinion and I’m sure I am not alone. Raging rampaging Muslims are more of a concern that an innocent Israeli tennis team.

The decision to ban the public was made by the council’s sports and recreation committee on Wednesday afternoon.  A Social Democrat and Left Party-led motion to have the match played in an empty hall was passed by five votes to four.

A “Stop the Match” campaign has been underway in Sweden since Israel’s offensive in Gaza erupted last December, and thousands of demonstrators are expected to rally outside the Baltiska Hallen during the match, according to campaign organizers and police.

But the chairman of the sports and recreation committee, Bengt Forsberg (SocDem), insisted that there was no political motive behind his party’s support for the spectator ban:

“This is absolutely not a boycott. We do not take political positions on sporting events,” he told The Local.

That is a bold faced lie. Politics run straight through it.

“We have made a judgment that this is a high-risk match for our staff, for players and for officials.”

Forsberg conceded that police had given the event the green light, but added: “ultimately, Malmö council is responsible for safety and security.”

How about instead of temporarily medicating the symptoms you cure the disease????? Safety and security, now who would it be putting the public at risk safety and security wise. Hmmm…? Hello…I can’t hear you.

Answer: Your muslim buddies.  The same buds whom you should of countered their threats with the promise they would be rounded up and locked away if they dared cross the line from a peaceful (yeah right) protest into a full fledged riot. Nipping their arrogance in the bud. As if– you are nothing but a cowardly useful idiot.

But local Moderate Party representatives were furious at the outcome of the vote, arguing that the match could have gone ahead with spectators and heightened security:

“I don’t think we should allow anti-democratic forces to decide how we run sporting events,” John Roslund, a Moderate Party member of the committee, told The Local.

Yes that is exactly the point.

“Both police and council officials have said that the match could go ahead,” Roslund added.

Some members of Malmö’s Jewish community find it hard to believe that the decision was taken purely on safety grounds:

”I can’t prove it but it is hard not to view it as political,” said community member Barbro Posner.

“The decision is a capitulation to violence and the mob, but it is in line with the malignant atmosphere for Israel and Jews in Malmö.”

According to Posner, Malmö’s Jewish community has been the recipient of “concrete threats” in recent months. A recent peaceful demonstration in support of Israel and civilian victims on both sides of the violence in the Middle East, which Posner helped organize, was pelted with rotten eggs, bottles, stones and tomatoes.

The Davis Cup match between the two countries hit the headlines in January when a prominent Social Democrat in southern Sweden likened Israel to apartheid South Africa and Nazi Germany in calling for a boycott.

“Israel is an apartheid state. I think Gaza is comparable to the Warsaw ghetto,” said Ingalill Bjartén, the vice chair for the Social Democratic women’s organization (S-kvinnor) in Skåne in southern Sweden, to the Sydsvenskan newspaper.

Apparently Ingalill Bjartén (a woman) does not have the slightest clue or (more likely) is willing to admit how women are treated under Islamic Sharia. What an ignorant excuse for a human being of the female gender. You could maybe go as far as describing the oppression of women under Islam as an apartheid in itself. But voicing that concern would lose votes now wouldn’t it Ingalill you stupid cow.

The Malmo-Stockholm matter has an unmistakable political dimension.

Malmo, Sweden’s third-largest city, has a left-leaning local government and large Muslim population. Its leaders have strongly criticized Israel after the Gaza invasion. Some called for dropping the Davis Cup matches altogether.

Malmo Sweden an Islamic state. For all intents and purposes.

MALMO, Sweden: About 1,000 police from seven counties will handle security for Sweden’s Davis Cup match against Israel next week amid fears that protests could turn violent.

Police commissioner Hakan Jarborg Eriksson said Thursday that officials expect a “Stop the Match” protest, formed after Israel’s offensive in Gaza started in December, to be relatively calm. But there are fears that protests from small, radical groups could turn violent, he said.

The first-round World Group match will be played March 6-8 without fans at the 4,000-seat Baltic Hall. Only teams, officials, some sponsors and journalists will be allowed to enter the hall.

Organizers of a “Stop the Match” campaign expect 8,000 to 12,000 people will demonstrate on March 7 before the Davis Cup doubles match.

“They have said that they want to stop the match at all costs,” Jarborg Eriksson told Swedish news agency TT.[…]

Somehow in a warped version of reality Malmö Sweden backs down to Muslim mob rule. Aided by the Social Democrat Party’s stance justifying their decision with their  inaccurate twisted sympathetic view of Gaza.

Absolutely sickening given the fact that Malmö, Sweden has been the backdrop for violent destructive Muslim riots. Muslims –the group (or should I say occupying force) defended by Swedish leftists tools are raping and pillaging their way across Sweden.

Somehow these facts are completely ignored by the appeasing apologetic left. History, cold hard statistics and facts just get in the way…

The activists hurled rocks and firecrackers at police vans as they tried to break through the barricades set up to keep protesters from the arena. Hundreds of riot police pushed them back using truncheons.

What ever happened to stop or I’ll shoot?

There were no immediate reports of injuries. At least five people were detained, police spokesman Lars Hakan Lindholm said.

Than God for the minimal injuries but far to few arrests IMO.

The clashes erupted after about 7,000 people gathered at a square in downtown Malmo to hear speeches condemning Israel’s offensive in Gaza and urging support for Palestinians.

Condemn the only true democracy and defend terrorists. Precious just precious.

Organizers of the “stop the match” protest had said the demonstration would be peaceful, but extreme-left activists had vowed to disrupt the match, which is being played without fans in Malmo.

Peaceful, sure that may of been the initial intention. But “Stop the Match” was the match (pun intended) that fueled the ‘fire’ of the extremists. Nuff said.

Sweden’s Left Party leader Lars Ohly told the crowd that the European Union and the rest of the world should “boycott the racist regime in Israel.”

The protesters then marched toward the Baltic Hall arena, where some of them attacked the police line with eggs, rocks and firecrackers.

The doubles match between Sweden and Israel started as planned before about 300 special guests invited by the two countries’ tennis federations.

About 1,000 police from southern Sweden were deployed in Malmo to keep the protesters from entering the arena.

Protesters? Enraged Muslims waging a violent attack –skirmish if you will.
